Six Employees Celebrate Anniversaries with Rosewood Services Inc.

Six employees from Rosewood Services Inc. were honored for a combined 35 years of dedication during the business’s annual celebration early this month. Five employees celebrated five-year anniversaries, while Rosewood Ranch Manager Eric Hammond achieved 10 years with the agency.

Hammond has been involved with Rosewood from its beginning with his wife, Tammy, who founded the agency more than 13 years ago that provides innovative services and opportunities for people with developmental disabilities. But it was 10 years ago that Rosewood Ranch, located north of Pawnee Rock, opened with Eric as a certified NARHA instructor and the program’s only instructor. Today, with the addition of three staff members, the ranch has expanded to a 750-acre full-working horse ranch that offers equestrian and therapeutic riding program on a weekly basis to nearly 100 people with developmental disabilities.

Melonie Myers, Human Resource director for Rosewood, received her five-year plaque, but she’s served the company for several years as director of Day Services before pursuing other opportunities. She returned five years ago and has been instrumental in Roswood’s success. “Melonie is a strong part of the backbone of Rosewood Services,” said Executive Director Tammy Hammond. “Her hard work and dedication to the agency are truly appreciated.”

Melissa Andrulis works in the Day Service Department as a day coach. She is trained in many areas and has been a true asset to Rosewood Services. Her supervisor, director of Vocational Services Debbie Larkin, states that Andrulis is a very dedicated and hard worker, who - rain or shine - is always at work with a smile on her face and spring in her step.

Amy Kilwein serves as the Program Coordinator at Rosewood Services. In her five-year career, she has also served in the departments of Case Management and in Day Services. Her supervisor sates that Amy is a dependable employee who always strives to be a good co-worker. “She has matured and blossomed in her current position, and we are very glad to have her,” said Vicki Schmitt, Senior Director.

Emma Booth provides a valuable service to the clients at Rosewood that often times gets overlooked, but it’s an essential job that carries much responsibility. She does sleepovers in the Residential Department. Her caring heart and dedication are truly appreciated by her supervisors and the clients she cares for, said Amanda Hammond-Fellers, Director of Residential Services.

Debra Naw has also served the Residential Department for the past five years. Over that time, she has worked in several of the homes and knows the clients well. Many of the clients she works with refer to her as their friend, said Hammond-Fellers.

“We are extremely fortunate to have these longtime dedicated employees who serve so well in various capacities, but all for the same purpose of growing opportunities for our clients,” said Tammy Hammond. “They have each helped build Rosewood’s excellent legacy in their own special way.”
