Rosewood Gallery Hosts Holiday Tables for Fifth Consecutive Year

Comida de Navidad - Two attendees view a table fit for a Mexican fiesta, which was decorated by Kustom Floor Designs.
For the fifth straight year, Rosewood Furniture Gallery was transformed into a showplace of warm holiday cheer in an effort to help the Great Bend Beautification Committee raise funds to improve the community. The Holiday Tables Spectacular fund-raiser was held Nov. 6 at the Gallery, located at 1607 Main, Great Bend.
This year’s event marked the seventh year that the Beautification Committee has held Holiday Tables Spectacular. Fourteen tables with a wide variety of holiday themes were on display for those who purchased a $10 entrance fee to attend the event. The tables were decorated by area businesses and individuals and the themes ranged from elegant, traditional, classic and cultural to quirky, wintry fun.
A special raffle was held this year for a chance to win a “Gardening Santa,” hand sculptured by Loretta Miller. The 24-inch Santa dressed, in gardening attire and equipped with tools, a watering can and seed packets, was won by Terry Vink.
More than 180 people purchased tickets to attend this year’s Holiday Tables Spectacular, where they also had a chance to view a wide selection of high-quality, solid-wood furniture at Rosewood Gallery, which sells at the most competitive prices in the area, compared to similar quality furniture pieces. The event raised more than $3,300, said Great Bend Beautification Committee member Judy Reed. Besides the entry fee and the Santa raffle, the committee also offered silent auctions for cakes and a gift basket, which contributed to the total raised for the fundraiser.

Frozen Fun - Frosty and his date enjoy what looks to be a cold dining experience during the seventh annual Holiday Tables Spectacular. The quirky Frosty holiday dining scene was designed by Lisa Hayes of 281 Bypass Antiques.

Cowboy Christmas – An event attendee examines a table with a ranch theme. The table was decorated by Wendy Litzenberger and Johnny Schmidt.
