Rosewood-Sponsored Golf Team Wins, Raises Money for Special Olympics

It’s a great feeling to help a worthy cause like Special Olympics. The only feeling better may be winning a golf tournament in the process. Four Great Bend golfers, sponsored by Rosewood Services Inc., are experiencing that exhilaration. The four-man team won the second flight of the 15th Annual Kansas Special Olympics Benefit Golf Tournament, held early this month at Turkey Creek Golf Course in McPherson.

The Rosewood team comprised Great Bend Police Detective Heather Smith, Barton County Sheriff’s Sergeants David Smith and Brad Patzner, and Barton Community College Criminal Justice Instructor Randy Smith.

All proceeds from the event benefit athletes who participate in Kansas Special Olympics. The McPherson Benefit Golf Tournament is part of the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run campaign.

Rosewood Services is once again sponsoring the team of Randy Smith.
